Thoughts To Ponder # 4 (Contest...)

I run the race
with wish to win
against the best

Many have character
others show power
I rely on humility

Character breaks when provoked
and power is lost when over ruled
but humility stands against all odds

At the end of obstacles
true humility can prevail
when character and power fail

Poem of the Day

poet Henry David Thoreau

My books I'd fain cast off, I cannot read,
'Twixt every page my thoughts go stray at large
Down in the meadow, where is richer feed,
And will not mind to hit their proper targe.
