Three Letters Poem by Robert Edgar Burns

Three Letters

Rating: 2.5

I wrote three letters just today.
They were all addressed to you,
And in each letter I tried to say,
Just how much I miss you.

The degree to which I love you,
Each moment I am aware,
It keeps my mind spinning all around
Full of words for me to share.

As I dropped off every letter,
I remembered what I’d meant to say,
That I had forgotten to write down
Before I had mailed it along it’s way.

And as I write another letter
That the postman has to haul.
The stack of stamps I have to buy
Is really not that small.

As these letters reach your hands
Remember there's another one on it’s way!
Please be ever mindful love,
P.S. I love you is what they’ll say!
