Through A Baby's Eyes Poem by Jon M. Nelson

Through A Baby's Eyes

As I look out into the strange world,
I have no idea what to expect.
And as I see the dangers surround me,
I wonder who'll be there to protect.

I see a lot of pain and suffering,
I wonder who will bring them peace,
And as I look upon humanity,
Will this hatred ever decrease?

When I gaze upon the human race,
I am still too young to judge.
As I see the way they treat others,
I wonder if they'll ever budge.

I know my vision is still clouded,
For I haven't experienced life yet.
But when I open my eyes and see,
Humanity is our own biggest threat.

So I try to close my eyes to see,
And hopefully things can change.
As I try to see us loving each other,
I know the feeling will be strange.
