Through The Eyes Of The Moon Poem by G J Salgado

Through The Eyes Of The Moon

As the sun and moon keep their distance,
Lives upon this earth can change in an instance.

In the moon's shadow the sun is cast,
Knowing that times of both good and evil shall also pass

The reason it is so difficult to forget the past we once knew,
Is because we all know that we cannot get that time back after its due.

All the while our future waits for us as it sits,
Waiting for you and I to move on with life as we forgive.

When your life is full of challenges, hurt, and neglect,
The moon's glow and the sun's rays reflect.

An image shall distance itself to be set free,
From our own shadow you are created from me.

I have learned so much throughout time,
How to be a child of the soul that is mine.

I use my words to demonstrate all the things that I want to say,
I spend time with the ones I love each and every day.

Knowing that my spirit will take me and my future far,
I watch it all change day to day as I look upon the stars.

See the stars, sun, and moon from my eyes,
As all of the dead in Christ shall rise!
