Thunderstorms Poem by Lissa Parks

Thunderstorms

Today is gone, tomorrow is near
How I wish you were here.
Understand me when I say
No more hurting, no more pain.
Don't even call me.
Even though deep down I want you to.
Remembering all the good times we had.
So now waiting for someone new to fill that hole.
Thank you for trying to be my friend.
Oh how the fire in my soul is burning,
Reaching out to others to fill my loneliness.
My heart hurting...my heart won't open for anyone.
Stops letting people in.
