Time

I may only have a minute
I may only have a day
Or I may have a year or two
In which to change my ways

I may only have a second
I may only have an hour
Or I may have a decade
In which my life can flower

The time allotted to me
Is known by not one
Except for God in Heaven
And to his Holy Son

Poem of the Day

poet Ambrose Bierce

Weather
by Ambrose Bierce

Once I dipt into the future far as human eye could see,
And I saw the Chief Forecaster, dead as any one can be--
Dead and damned and shut in Hades as a liar from his birth,
