Time Poem by Mark De Pena

Time

TIME

Time is of the enemy, but it's an enemy you never see
But it's always hanging around, to take the time from me
Time is of the essence, everyone seems in a hurry
Time accepts your presence, sometimes gets you in a flurry

'Time, it waits for no man' or so the saying goes
It's hard to make a plan where everybody knows
The outcome of our future, the destiny of our fate
Time just might need a suture to heal, hope it's not too late!

The sands of time we talk about, such are the days of our lives
Time leaves me here with no doubt, that sometimes time contrives
And puts these challenges against us, makes us think about
Just how important we manage time; on this there is no doubt!
