The clock is ticking, tick tock
I'm running out of time
Somebody please make it stop
It's driving me out of my mind
The pitter patter of little feet
Up and down the hall
The cutest kids you'll ever meet
And they're only two feet tall
They look at me with this big little smile
As we pass along the way
These kids they make it all worth while
To make me want to stay
They say that time is on my side
Thats kind of hard to believe
Cause fifty years has passed me by
And I really don't want to leave
The kids all say the cutest things
You would'nt believe your ears
The things they say just may bring
A face thats filled with tears
So staying here is really cool
Thats what I truly desire
I will always work at Jefferson school
Until the day I retire
