Doctor Martin Luther King
An honest man with a dream
Of people looking beyond their color
But in ninteen sixty eight
He was sent to the pearly gate
A brave man, not like any other
But on this special day
We can proudly say
That his dream has finally come true
When a man can face a man
Without making a stand
For whats different between me and you
No matter what the weather
Millions of people came together
To support our new commander in chief
There are people who died
And people who cried
And some had a sigh of relief
Be it black or be it white
We can all have the right
To have what it takes to be free
Just look at each other
And call him your brother
Cause we're americans, you and me
So let it be known
Our country has grown
From denying certain gender or race
The opportunity for success
To rise above the rest
In the U S, there's no better place

Admirable sentiments but I fear you are a little optimistic if you think the election of one man with black origins will halt racism in America, the land of the KKK.
