Time Poem by Jan E Smith

Time

What is time? Where has it gone?
And what have I to show?

I live my life, some right, some wrong.
Just how much do I know?

And what of age and of the year,
the passing of each day,

The treasures that I hold so dear,
the times I stop to pray.

Houses, cars and earthly things,
A job and ample money.

Romance, love and wedding rings,
someone to call me honey.

So do we learn the answers now?
Or does it really matter?

If time's all spent on why and how,
our dreams will surely shatter.

To calm our thoughts and live our best
one book is there to read.

Life is no rocket science test,
the Bible's what we need.

So stop right now and don't delay,
don't waste another hour.

Peace is just a prayer away,
God's words will bring you power.
