Time And Place. Poem by Brittney Karasek

Time And Place.

Rating: 0.5

in the darkness
my skin unravels.
in the air.
rattle-snake call travels.
lonely night.
afraid of something elaborate.
folding ourselves to what we should be.
what we should be.
what we should be.
what are we?
are we the ones with golden hair
golden thoughts.
thoughtless remains.
awake.
awake to another cold night.
hating my own voice.
silence.
calm my eyes and see with my mind.
visions of gods and ghost cloud my time.
memories rescind to ashes,
ashes.
ashes are all you have.
learn to have to make.
empty face.
face the emptiness inside.
these forgotten places.
places that climb.
places that fall.
places painted black.
painted black, are we.
painted open.
painted wide.
visions of fetal birds flying the highway.
flying through my lungs.
I breath life unlived.
I breath life unlived.
Oh yes.
I breath
I breath time and place,
time and place have no matter in lands of liberty
where.
where.
where we all die.
