Time Flies Poem by Jojoba Mansell

Time Flies

Rating: 4.5

The daylight's quick to leave us,
the moon begins her rise.
The night draws her velvet curtains,
darkness veils our weary eyes.

Our glasses are quickly emptied,
our taxi is drawing near.
It's that time to say farewell to fiends,
then hold those that are dear.

Like time, our lives are fleeting,
that thought may bring you grief.
The certainty of unfinished works,
alas our lives too brief.

But live your time and live it full,
be happy come what may.
We're soon to rest eternally,
so for now live and love each day.
