Time Has Taken Them Away Poem by David Harris

Time Has Taken Them Away

Rating: 5.0

I am a man who lives in yesterdays,
in a world of worn out photographs
with faces I want to remember
but more often that I can’t.
I want to go back and relive
some of the best moments in my life.
Talk again to my school friends
who somehow shaped my life.
I want to rebuild what I left behind,
try to find so many things
that were lost in an earlier time.
I want to go back to my yesterdays,
but time has taken them away.

As I said a long time ago, your poems evoke. Time has created the memories and left them with you. I've been 'away' from poemhunter for a long while. You are one of the many I have missed reading. But the other like I have is some times a demanding one. Like my college eng. lit prof. told me many years ago, 'If you want to be writer there are two things you have to have: 1) patience and 2) if you like to eat on a regular basis, a day job. Cheers, Tom

But time is the most ruthless a predator, which itself is, as invisible the illusionist... 10........ Sincerely, Tsira
