Time I Moved On, Without You. Poem by Elizabeth Rabbit

Time I Moved On, Without You.

Rating: 5.0

I'll always love you,
But I can't be with you,
someone who's always in and out or prison,
I know in my head that it's wrong
It's just difficult to make my heart listen,
I know I'm always gonna miss you when I hear our song,
But I reckon I'll be happier once you're gone.
It's time I moved on

I didn't mean it to happen, but last time you got sent down,
I started to grow up, stopped hanging about round town,
I started spending time with my old friends, not with them wastes smoking brown,
Then I meet this boy, not part of our crowd, but we didn't do anything, sweardown,
But now you're out you're just treating me like a clown!

I know you've been up with other girls all night,
I never used to mine too much as long as you came home to me, but I know that isn't right!
I swear we used to be sweet together, now all we do it fight,
I don't know how I ended up in this plight.

This boy I meet I really like him, he's said he likes me too,
He said he wanted to be with me, but I couldn't say yes because of you,
You mighta been in pen, but I always stayed true,
But now you're out, I've been thinking it through,
I mean since you left I've stopped hanging out with our crew,
I got myself off drugs, didn't even take anything when I had the flu,
You're who taught me how to love, but I think it's time I started a new life without you,

I just want you to be happy, and if you loved me that's what you'd want for me,
Look I'm not gonna plea, I just wanna move on, just wanna be free;
All I'm asking is for you to leave us be,
It's not you that makes me happy now, that boy I met I think it could be he,
Please just let me, don't try and find me,
Go find yourself a new girl,
one you'll love more then you've ever loved me,
Forget about me and be happy.
