Time Machine Poem by Pradeep Uthaman

Time Machine

Rating: 5.0

If I had a time machine;
I would go back in time,
To cherish my childhood once more,
And would see the vintage colour of the sky.

All that I remember now,
The sweetest of all memories;
I wish it would never fade away,
For that I could rejoice the essence.

Those with whom I felt the joys of youth,
Whether it's a win or a loss.
Or maybe it's the flavor of the first kiss,
A embrace,  some affection,  and so forth.

To see the same night ,
Together with the face I adored.
To see all the dreams one more time;
Under the starlit sky again.

Slide through all of the stories,  riddles,
and as many lullabies one more time.
Knowing that this is my last chance,
I'd rather enjoy the ethos to its core.

I wish I could pause the time and relive,
All of the moments I shared with my loved ones.
Dad,  Mom,  and a slew of others;
and to take a portion home with me.

Although I wish in vain,
If there is a time machine;
To go back to the past to see me;
Feel all the Love and come back.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I have many restore points in my past, which i often remember to kick start my present. I have always wished if there was a time machine, i could go back to the restore points to make things right.
