Time Shall Tell Poem by Patricia Gale

Time Shall Tell

Rating: 3.9

If younger days were upon me
I would fall hopelessly in love with thee
But with age and years, mine eyes now see
Love is measures by time and deeds

Not a single glance
Or heart felt sigh
Shall hold my chance
For no more broken tears shall I cry

My heart shall await for the one
Who shall treasure the gift
Of a heart that shines like the sun
And his love in time will never shift

Like the sands upon the shore
My love will only increase
And two hearts shall soar
In a land of happiness and peace

Holding my dreams close to mine heart
Keeping true to mine vows
To never let the vision depart
Till the soul is found that truly believes in my cause

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

P, it is divine. How any person would want to feel, what every person would want to experience. What you describe is true love... and far from hopeless.... so I'm not going along with this idea suggested in your first stanza that you're NOT a hopeless romantic! ! ! ! Because idealism and hopeless romanticism need not be mutually exclusive, I am finding. Nor, mercifully, are they exclusively the domain of the young! What a glory to read. t x
