Time Shifts Terminal In The American West Poem by Terence George Craddock

Time Shifts Terminal In The American West

time shifts we have been contemplating evaluating
time shifts a few time shifts from pages of history

constantly stand out once in the time of the American West
conceived of as a frontier in an age of adventurers explorers

pilgrims seeking new lands trappers settlers cowboys goldminers;

there was then in this time period
a nasty extermination terminal saying

'the only good indian is a dead indian'
even supposed good Christian people said …

were they a product
of their time rooted
in hatred fear bigotry?
