Time To Sleep

Sleep, sleep now my baby
Do not wait for your daddy
He’ll be home when you rise
So go to sleep, close your eyes

Sleep, sleep now my baby
I will read you a story
I will sing you a lullaby
I’ll be here don’t you cry

Sleep, sleep now my baby
Tomorrow is a promise to see
You’ll wake up on your daddy’s knee
And together spend the day with glee

Poem of the Day

poet Wilfred Owen

All sounds have been as music to my listening:
Pacific lamentations of slow bells,
The crunch of boots on blue snow rosy-glistening,
Shuffle of autumn leaves; and all farewells:
