Time, To Time Poem by Louie Levy

Time, To Time

Time, to Time

with nothing to clock
run with your life
look forward to stop

When rhyme takes to tune
steps out of order,
march with the parade
as the drummer gets dumber
Vacations spent,
stress unbent
credit card blues,
what's with the views?

Paper news dreaded
on driveways pavement
of another beheaded

No-body's home, assuring
of the sleeping watch cat,
faithfully guarding

Treasures, sorrowed
impoverished junk
within a rich home
left mortgaged and
un-affordably borrowed

Help rescue our planet
of wars profanity, hate
and inhuman insanity

'There's No Place Like Home'

Bombs bursting in air,
everywhere, but here
Ignorance procures,
denials go un-reprimanded

Love and Peace,
Spiritually left, abandoned

COMMENTS OF THE POEM
Abha Sharma 20 June 2008

Running our life time to time We need courage to pull up from this crime, Wars are wasteful we all agree But we always fight to make us free ……..the need is to renew the lost love and peace Well composed with genuine concern to preserve the human race… Abha
