Time Traveler's Adventures #13

HOLY LAND ADVENTURE

I would like to go on spring vacation to the Holy Land,
Retracing the path of The Son Of Man.
To visit the hill named Golgotha,
But before go and visit Bethlehem.

i'd like to walk along the shoreline
Of the beautiful ancient Sea of Galilee.
And look out at the fishing vessels
Then pretend there that He called out to me.

I'd like to visit the Mount Of Olives,
Located in the Valley Of Josaphat.
Across from there the Kidron Valley,
And Mount Moriah is also so near that.

They call this the Holy area named Zion.
That name is surely majestic my mate.
It's near the old city Of Jerusalem's,
Historically significant Jaffa Gate.

Wishing for this vacation with some longing,
I was overjoyed and really not surprised.
Pushing the starter when I put the key in,
Taking me there back in time I realized.

A sign on a shop said Nazareth.
I saw a small boy working outside.
Wearing ancient clothing and sandals,
His father appeared too, showing daddy's pride.

'Do you see this chair my Son has made? '
It's the finest chair in all of the land! '
'I know someday He will be very special.'
'I heard an angel call Him The Son Of Man! '

I was speechless in the presence of The Carpenter.
I couldn't breathe or open my mouth to speak.
Even though it was two thousand years ago,
Jesus looked and seemed to already know me.

Dizzily I returned to my time machine.
My knees were weak, I felt that I would fall.
I met the one who created the whole universe.
And though a boy by Him I sure felt small.
