Time Versus Man Poem by Gita Ashok

Time Versus Man

A second, a minute, an hour,
a week, a month, a year,
a decade, a millennium, an aeon…
this is how Time travels
through our Space.

Two cells, a zygote,
a foetus, a newborn, a baby,
a toddler, an adolescent, an adult,
a middle-aged, an elderly…
this is how Man travels
through Time.

From a second to an aeon,
from two cells to a man,
Time and Man have surely come a long way.
