Tiny Pebbles Poem by Kim Barney

Tiny Pebbles

Rating: 5.0

sitting on the bank of
a pleasant little stream
high up in the mountains
on a warm summer day
clouds floating in the sky
bald eagles soaring by
bare feet in the water
feeling tiny pebbles
rolling between my toes
hearing the gentle sounds
as they roll all around
smelling fragrant blossoms
of those mountain flowers
I could stay forever

Tiny Pebbles
POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This poem was inspired by " Listening to the Stones" by LeeAnn Azzopardi. Of course, she meant The Rolling Stones, with Mick Jagger and Keith Richards, et al, but I thought of real stones, rolling with the current. Thank you, my dear friend, for the inspiration!

Wow! Too good! To be able to sit near a mountain stream and let your feet touch the water and feel the pebbles.
