Tissues Poem by Anderson Greenwald

Tissues

How long will it take?
How long before the end
Of this suffering of a life
Without You in my end?
Is it days? Weeks? Years!
I have nothing but FEARS!

I am wreckage!
I am the disdain!
Poisoned lips say the words
My mind can’t relay!
I am broken!
I am the so sick!
I can’t tell you the times
I’ve jumped in traffic!
I am crippled!
I am the depressed!
Eyes sore from the weeks
That were sleepless!
I am nervous!
I am the anxious!
Waiting to meet you but
I’m so impatient!

So I took matters into my own hands
Crazed eyes searching for my escape
And I fled to the sixth story where
I, about to jump, just stood and stared…

What was I about to do!
Crying eyes couldn’t see through
The lies that the devil drew!
Tissues later, I’ll come back to You!
