To An Olive Tree

Rating: 2.5

Silvery
you sing
rustling soft rustling

I listen
wisdom
your gift

Centuries silver song

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I took an English class in Expository Writing. One of our assignments was to find a campus tree to sit with, and just sit...and write, I guess. My tree was a little old olive tree in the middle of campus. I wonder if 'she' is still there.

One I kept in a pot for years, Carol, is now in the ground, producing its first fruit, and never looking better.
