To Another Tomorrow Poem by Babs mcclenaghan

To Another Tomorrow

The rain falls hard against the night a dog houls with fright, screams are heard from a far no-one hears or so they say, the darkness is edging away from the sky, a baby cries to a distant time alone as the rain lies down, the fog swallows the city its hunger has striked a bitter pill, the dawn has sneaked upon leaving the fog to journey on its way, a mother pleads for her life, drunken husband a fist of his delight, so much wrong in the world today but nothing to say, keep on rolling round and round, nothing will ever stop the pain of time, now the break of dawn has come just another day in this unusual world.
