To Break Free Into Oblivion Poem by David Blaine

To Break Free Into Oblivion

Rating: 3.0

Hurt down by unseen chains, I wept
For a twinkle in the dark sky;
A reminder, that dreams are still alive
I craved for a spark, to flare my embers.

Until that fallen day when, she, like a lightning bolt
Split the skies apart and dazzled
In a flash of ecstasy, I too
Woke up from slumber and dreamed

Passions errupted, barriers crumbled
I threw my chains down the drain
And leapt up; Though she vanished away
I'm now ready, to break free into oblivion.
