To Death, With Regret! Poem by Faisal Noor

To Death, With Regret!

Rating: 4.0

With swollen eyes, tired soul and a shattered heart,
I am here, travelled ages, just to be your part,
'Cause in you I found solace and peace,
'Cause with you I forgot my sorrows and grief,
'Cause you asked me to bow and I did, thinking I had nothing more to live.
With unlived dreams, broken promises and so many relations betrayed,
And this is how I have lived my life, astrayed.
And now in you I see my glory and destination,
And now in you I see my forgiveness and salvation,
'Cause you embraced me once and I slept, with a never to wake up determination.
With broken trust, moist eyes and arms open still,
The hope, which I can't kill, and she never fulfill.
Thus, in you I see the End so awaited.
'Cause with you I forgot the pain so resented.
And thus You are so much dreaded by the Deservings, but so much coveted for this Depressed.
With a crying pen, a wet parchment and thoughts voiced by a Drunkard,
This letter, little conveyed much to be understood, posted to the Graveyard.
'Cause others are brought to you, but I have brought myself to thee,
'Cause you wait for God's punctuation, but I am waiting for thee.
'Cause you asked me to bow, and I did, thinking I had nothing more to breathe.
Invincibly yours,
A drunken Poet.
