To Fear The Lord

Without The Lord, a worldly fool
Could steal a regents crown
They’d claim a while the highest stool
Then end by falling down

Today we too may think we’re wise
When in ourselves we trust
But with our hopes, just like the fool
Our plans will turn to dust

From knowledge, in The Father’s hand
Come wisdom, love and grace
Leading in Christ to understand
The error of our ways

It’s good to feel Salvation’s might
God’s name to fear within
Deprived a moment of His Light –Nu.12: 15
To emphasize our sin

At times when rains refuse to fall
When lands grow hard and dry
We see the mighty grow so small
Till on their knees they cry

God sees our thoughts both far and near
The guilt within our song
He feels inside our every fear
And knows when something’s wrong

Are yet your feet, on holy ground?
Or have they wandered far?
Take time to check, just look around
Take score of where you are!

Through love, God’s Flame will burn inside
Through grace, we learn to see
With Jesus at the great divide
Our victory’s sure to be…
