To Fight On Poem by Timothy Long

To Fight On

Never was he able to accept the truth that wouldn't accept him, never did he waste his time, it was just given to solitude as the only one not to judge him, the only one to accept him truly, can we die to live, to prolong the mourners, lying nothing to be denied or swear by so much faith in his word, thoughts go surely do corrupt the good, the for thinking man had one regret to say, he wished to die more for his country that day, he didn't want to lose in serenity, or die in shame, his vice was the pride of his men and himself for a cause, a cause of great virtue but of little knowingness, why is peace impossible or love violent? I look upon him well, the enemies thought him nimble and of grace, far off they were not, hung for his country in pride, no cowardice was shown, to fight on the wanted to inspire, only one repent was in life he couldn't give more.
