To Live Like All Of Them Poem by RIC BASTASA

To Live Like All Of Them

you take
a glass
wear a robe
and play a
role

you watch
your language
and count
your moves

you ride a
car and look
forward
to a fine
weather

you disembark
and walk
inside a hall

you greet others
as others greet
you

you sit on a chair
and speak
a little

restraint is always
the law here
always in consideration
of the other

i guess, you know now
how to be here
and live like them...
