To Love Poem by James Cicero

To Love

Love is omnipotent,
It has no boundaries,
It has no fears.

Love is so selfless, yet so selfish,
To love is to give, yet to love is to take,
What is there amongst all this heartache?

Love is blind but love's grip is fierce.
It does not let go,
It does not waver.

Love reveals all,
It opens you, until everyone can read you,
It closes you, until no one can talk to you.

You're alone in this world.
No one can save you,
No one can help you.

You're falling.
Faster than you could ever imagine,
Rock bottom is in sight,
But you keep on falling,
Falling, into the endless abyss.

And your heart gently weeps,
What is there amongst all this heartache?
Amongst all this pain?
All this sorrow?

And you slowly realise, love, is torture,
To be loved, is to be tortured.
