The seasons of our lives are changing
And people come and go
The storms, the trials, the never ending temptations
Seem to toss us to and fro
And just when the burden is greatest
And the sun seems to no longer shine
I look to my friend, my sister, my ally
To whom God destined our lives intertwined
As I look to my left, the side of my heart
Expecting an inevitable change
I notice that she is the one right beside me
Seeing my faults and my failures yet still she remains
There aren’t enough words in any language
Nor lyrics from paper and pen
To express my deep and heartfelt gratitude
For simply being a true friend
