I think of the times we have had together
I think of the things we promised each other
All things where so sincere until I left
Time changed our very nature
You became distant and repressed your feelings
How was I to cope?
I was alone in Iraq and you were not there for me
I was scared of losing you and tormented by not knowing
I felt betrayed and lost in this world
You were not by my side
How was I to continue on?
How was I to make it through?
I love you babe I wanted you to know
That no matter what you’re always welcome home
