To My Parents Poem by Anand Kumar

When I was born...
a tear accompanied my eyes...
Came along with it was a hand to wipe them off...

When I was playing..
a blow on my head accompanied me to let me bleeding...
Came along with it was a kiss on my cheeks to absorb my pains...

When I was studying...
a fear of failure was rising in me...
Came along with it was a hug to give me hope...

When I was betrayed...
a feeling of loneliness was overwhelming me...
Came along with it was a smile to say I am always there...

When I was lost...
a sense of madness creeped into me...
Came along with it was a voice to identify myself...

and..

Finally when i had some success..
Stood in front of me were the sacrifices my parents have done...
