To See Myself



I took away my blindfold
As I looked in the mirror
I only saw my empty reflection
Full of desperation,
With nothing left to believe in
The scars covering my wrists
I looked harder, examining my face
As I flinched away,
I covered my eyes,
I hit the floor…
