To Take A View Poem by Edward Kofi Louis

To Take A View

We are like 'Papa-Doc' and 'Baby-Doc',
And in the public toilet to take a view;
But my love is behind the light that shines on us,
And i will see you through this dream.
We are like the stars of the skies and the sand of the seas!
And like to mourn and to wep for the dead around us;
Port-au-Prince, Port-au-Prince!
How the earth crashed to kill you all,
But your survivors will live on to tell this story one day;
And like the invisible man behind you and i.
I am following to your bedroom to take a view,
Because that's where your love is;
And like the art of the perfumer from the 'Westland to Broadway',
For i want make an artistic design of this love.
Seek for the missing ones in the name of the earthquakes!
For your cries met up to the world for help;
And i am worried because of the glory of your beauty.
