To The World And Thee Poem by Randall Barfield

To The World And Thee

Here I am
A little poem
Of just a few short lines
And there you are
Reading me
I thank you for your time.
I find I have no resting place
But guess it’s quite all right
In the meantime I shall wander,
See a few of the world’s great wonders
Lovely peoples of every land
Highest mountains, longest rivers
I’ll say hello to every soul
And wish them well forever
I’ll then keep moving
Till I find
That proverbial resting place—
But whatever may its venue be—
I’ll belong, in my mind,
To the world and thee.
