To View And To Love The World. Poem by Gianella Tyler

To View And To Love The World.

Rating: 5.0

To view the world
In a different perspective.
To love the world
You are very accpetive.

Nobody knows
Who you are or where you're from.
Places you've seen or things you've done.
Nobody cares; Society is dumb.

All alone, scared but brave,
Cut your skin, help me save
What you're falling into.

Midnight dreams, you scream in the dark.
No one knows, those voices in your head.
You keep quiet, you leave things unsaid.

Watch the world crumble around,
Yet you make not a single sound.
You have no voice, They took it from you.
They laugh and chuckle, They've gotten to you.

Your hair is coarse; underneath is intelligence.
Knowledge of a better tomorrow,
To change a world filled with sorrow.

Smile to the world, you frail child.
Spread hope and joy to others around you.
I don't understand, your motive behind this:
This so called 'serenity', this so called 'bliss'.

You laugh and play and dance and sing.
Nobody knows about your self-being.
You live a lie, no one knows
Of the scars that continue to grow
On your pale, white wrist.

Anxiety and depression
Are common for you.
Your emotionless expression
Is hard to view.

You tell me you're fine,
That it's 'Just a small problem'.
You stealthy, witty liar.
You've crossed the line,
You're no longer sane.

But, you laugh,
And then you smile.
You tell me that you aren't in denial.
I ask why you're so happy
And then you say with a laugh,
'I'm not crazy, the World is.'

To view the world,
In a different perspecitve.
To love the world,
You are very acceptive.
