Today's Insecurities, Tomorrow's Fate. - Poem by Casandra Vice

Young and insecure,
I shut the world out,
Hearing the thunder,
I avoid its pain,
Draining it out,
As I let out the rain,
Feeling it press against my cheek.

I hide my face,
Closing my eyes trying to ignore my fate,
I hear them even with the music blaring,
Damn thunder roaring.

Every time I go to breathe,
I let the rain fall,
Till I'm fast asleep,
Praying the suns out tomorrow for me as fate.

Sometimes, it’s wiser to shut the world out, especially when downpours are hitting on us at every angle. Beautiful poem :)
I'v known it during my insecure days and mature days as well (Report) Reply
