Today The Sun Is Shining

Today the sun
Is shining.

My need has been answered.

Darkened clouds
Have given up
And disappeared.

I can feel my mind
Begin to loosen
As the cobwebs
Dissolve into clear
And concise reasoning:

I wonder how many beers
We have in the fridge?

Up to the stars;
Or, true to the Almighty plan,
That out of dust created man,
