Lights dim, the war within
and we just closed our eyes
We suffer now, we suffered then
This pain inside kills us over and over
again
So we held on, held our breath
Didn't even breath
We closed our eyes, we didn't peak
We didn't even move
We put the barrel to the brain
Pulled the trigger to numb the pain
Took our pills, washed this all away
Then blamed it on mommy and daddy
For raising us this way
