Together Forever Poem by Katheryn Foley

Together Forever

A star so bright
it illuminates your room
on the bed where we lay
sheets of silk stuck to our legs
wrapped in each others arms
like a gift to unwrap
but only time could unwrap this gift of two
sharing every breath they breathe
thinking what a world we will lead
what gifts we will put in this world
and only together can this be done
for it is impossible to do with just one
how many you ask?
possibly one or two
one with darker eyes one with blue
one will like cars and one will like shoes
they will brighten the world much like the star
that's illuminating your room
although very very far.
