Tolerance Poem by Mark Beal

Tolerance

Tolerence

The soul who sins shall die
I desire mercy and not sacrifice
the condemnation
men refuse the light
and who wouldn't ball up and cry
knowing things prophecied
false religion has her crown
and she rides a horse of white
before the horse of red
war and the black one death
pale
the picture a reflection of our world
spiritually diseased and starving
and headed straight for hell

the truth cannot tolerate a lie
the tolerence handed down
from our creator sitting upon high
'the soul who sins shall die'

ashes to ashes
dust to dust
unless we repent
this will happen to all of us
as God's word sits on the shelf
collecting dust
because we don't like the truth
so poetically jotted down
as if we think it's enough
just to have a copy laying around
or that it's enough to go to church
and listen to the sound
of the wolves barking behind the alter
devouring all spiritual ground
they teach Jesus jesus Jesus
just believe and you'll be saved
but all those who believe
know what he came to say
honor our father in heaven
repent and give him thanks
turn away from sin
for there are laws to follow
in my fathers mighty kingdom
we all must learn to obey them
love God and love thy neighbor
for their is nothing greater
those who teach us to break the least of his commandments
will be the least in the kingdom of heaven
truth is in the hands of God
and on the shelves of his children
and beating in the prophets heart
they teach us all to obey them
their words so often divide
family and freinds
churches and nations
like minuet men
in the war going on within
where there is room for love and patientce
but no room for tolerence
pray for your enemies
put away your false gods
and put away your idols
love your God and neighbor to death
and be aware that there are devils
for they are here to prove you
and you are here to set an example
come judgment day
we will all find out who and what the Holy Father
is willing to tolerate
