RIC S. BASTASA

Too Far Away Poem by RIC S. BASTASA

I live next door
and i know you live next to mine
sometimes we meet
and i look at the floor
hiding from the beauty
of your eyes

i do not have the courage to say
that love exists in me
and that its life
is all for you

how sadness slowly kills us both
hiding inside the comforting
darkness of our doors

i live next door and you are next to mine
but we are so far away like star to sea.
