Too Tired Poem by Heidi Elizabeth

Too Tired

Eyelids bearing the weight of the world
Head filled with clouds thick and furled
Breathing in breaths so  heavy and dense
Limbs immovable in a heap on the bed

Drain this heartache from my soul
Just say goodbye and let me go
Let the night sweep me away
Free my heart for just one day

I'm too tired to think of you
What we have and haven't been through
The back and forth can wear me out
Where is the rainbow with it's pot?

So on my pillow goes my head
I shuttle my dreams to the dead
Pray for blackness, numb from feeling
Like the 'blank' on my white ceiling

I'll be with you another day
Tonight u need to go away
I got to find myself in this mess
Come back to  'me' and
a new heart address
