Tornado Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Tornado

Tornado

Badly miss my daughter
And she is unaware…

Am worried and wonder,
If she is sound and safe.

Each of the images
From fallen houses
By the mean tornado
Is a forging hammer
It hits head to break.

She knows not of my heart
That kicks chest, and cries.

Kentucky have you kept
My daughter well and safe?

Sure, wish so, and pray
For each of the injured
And the ones scattered
Due to the bad weather.

I called and left message
For sister and my ex:
"Please call me urgent
With news and answer
Of her if you have heard."

Even though is too late
I cannot go to bed.

Feel hands of tornado
As if noose around neck.

Whenever I inhale
Air goes in, freezes
On a rib of my chest.

Somebody, for God's sake
Come, bring good message.
