Touching Lives Poem by Lone Dog

Have you touched the life of one person today?
Have you aided someone in need?

Have you wiped the tears from a saddened face
Or the hungry helped to feed?

Have you held the hand of a dying friend?
Have you thanked a legless vet?

Have you helped a struggling family to cope
Or assisted someone in debt?

Have you given a friendly pat on the back
To a wheelchair-ridden lad?

Have you stopped to talk to a lonely soul
Or the homeless helped to clad?

Have you taken a blind person under your wing,
To assist when he needs a hand?

Have you given your time to a fatherless child
And helped him turn into a man?

Yes, have you touched the life of just one today -
Whether child, or youth or grown?

For, if you've touched the life of somebody else
You'll find that you've touched your own.
