Tragedy Means Song In Greek Poem by Alex Liberto

Tragedy Means Song In Greek

Tragedy means Song in Greek

That feared event
With just one bird
Not where I went
But what I heard

A voice that jarred
With just one song
A heart that scarred
Which once was strong

I heard it sing
When I awoke
The sound of spring
Upon my oak

And then I heard
Its Greek alert
And felt the bird
Was here to hurt
