Trained To Betray Poem by Sibghatullah Khan

Trained To Betray

Saying the same over and over makes no sense
unless it does not mean the same.
But how can you say something
when words are so rude? : they refuse
to do their part-irresponsible idiots.
When you finally think you have,
it's still not said: the carpet rolls on;
and language like a strumpet wanting in faith,
like someone trained to betray,
smiles and smiles and keeps a liquid face.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This is a poem on Poststructuralism, the theory that language is not a reliable agent for communication because it lacks center.
