Trainwreck Of Words Poem by Christine A Kysely

Trainwreck Of Words

Words can be like a Trainwreck
Headed nowhere and everywhere all at once
They can appear to be traveling somewhere
But it is a destination that they lack.

Words that earlier and easily
seemed to have been on track
Can be derailed easily by their inuendos
and the meanings that they lack.

They can be like an approaching storm
The calm before the fall
Some words make no sense to me
No sense to me at all.

I try to grasp at their meaning
I try to see where their meaning lies
These words are hidden in sheep's clothing
Just a verbose pack of lies.

As I read these words over and over again
I try to begin to see some meaning and some light
But all I see is darkness
For the nonsenseical I have no insight.

These words are like a broken record
Like a dog that has no bone
A sail that has no winds to sail
A house that is not a home.

A bird trying to fly on broken wings
A puppet that has no strings
A voice that can no longer or sing
In these words I can see no meaning.

Words can be hidden in sheep's clothing
There is a wolf that is hidden within
And that is where the danger lies
The danger lies in the meaning that is hidden within.

The Danger lies in the apple
The danger lies in its core
It looks harmless from the outside
But once bitten you are changed forevermore.

So beware of the nonsenseical
Beware of words with no apparent meaning
These words were meant to set you up
To trap you in their unthinkings.

I can't even think about them anymore
These words that are causing me so much angst
I am not even going to waste a thought
I am going to forget about them post haste.
